what is dahej/ dowry From Sanatan Point Of View

When the bride 's family gives gifts to the boy 's family, during the marriage that's called dowry. Dowry (Dahej) is a crime in India. But back then in history it was started by our ancestors with a very practical practice to help the bride and groom. After marriage, the newly married couple starts a new life together.

So our ancestors in sanatan dharma created a system of women's wealth (stree dhan). According to this, at the time of marriage, parents of the girl will give all the things to the bride and groom for their household. so, they can focus on each other and start a family. So that the newly married couple focuses on their relationship and not on working hard to earn money.

Then, after marriage and the birth of a child, the boy's parents used to give all their earned property to their son and daughter-in-law.

Earlier, farming was the only way of sustaining a family. farming was done on the land, and a girl who was married far away from her village, could not come to her parents' house to work on the fields.

That's why parents used to give their land's to the boy. So that he can cultivate crops and earn a livelihood for his family. The girl gets her share of the money at the time of marriage. In our sanatan dharma Girls are treated as devi, on every festival or function, his brother has to give some gifts and sweets from her family side. There are many customs and traditions where mama has to do or give something to his bhanja or bhanji. In an Indian household, it's common that we love our mother's side more than our father's side. Do you ever think why??

Yes, you are right because your maa and mama do not have any property disputes like your chachu and papa. But our society makes every good custom fraud.

Many educated people like you, discussing dowry in such a wrong manner today.

Our, court's banned dowry, but say's now girls have equal share in their property. That means our next generation has no chachu or mama with whom they can play with. Because their mother's will to fight with her brother's. Just like our father's are doing it from so long…..

I support dowry for its prime concept, that doesn't mean I support killing a girl for dowry is right it's a crime. Nowadays people are greedy, you can't stop a criminal from doing a crime. You have to educate children about our sanatan dharma. So, they don't end up being a judge from Patna killing her wife for dowry….

Education without hiding any fact is needed nowadays. We need more and more people who speak with their mind's. Not just what they are feeded.
